How do I update my Dr. Dish software?

Please follow the steps below to ensure your Dr. Dish updates.

To receive any software updated on your Dr. Dish, you need a strong internet connection. Please follow the steps below.

Connect to a solid internet connection, and test its strength with the following steps: 

  1. Can you login with your phone number? 
  2. Can you play a video?
  3. Are the bars next to the WiFi at least ⅔ full?
  4. After you have a strong internet, reboot the Dr. Dish twice waiting two minutes between reboots.
  5. Check under Settings → Software Version to verify it is current.
