Written Instructions

  1. Remove Shrouds

  2. Cut Zip Ties: Use the side cutters to carefully snip the zip ties that hold the feed motor wires in place.
  3. Disconnect Wires: Locate and disconnect the P4 and P9 cables from the power board.

    • Pull the P4 and P9 cables through the frame.
  4. Remove the Old Motor:

    • Orient the cam: Rotate the cam of the feed motor so the semicircle faces the front of the machine. This may allow you to slide the motor out without further disassembly..

      • If the cam can not be rotated, use a flathead screwdriver to pop off the black C-clip and remove the cam from the feed motors drive shaft.
    • Using the 10mm socket and extension, remove the three easily accessible nuts and washers from the mounting plate. With the Dr. Dish Home all four nuts are easily removed with a socket.
    • For the lower-left nut on commercial models, use the 10mm open end wrench to access the nut from below the horizontal frame piece. (2:54 in the above video)

    • Carefully slide the old motor out.
  5. Install the New Motor:

    • Position the cam on the new motor so the cam's curve will be facing the front of the machine when you go to install it.
    • Lift the feeder fork up to create space for the feed motors cam.
    • Slide the motor into the mounting position, releasing the feeder fork to hold it in place.

  1. Secure the New Motor:

    • Re-install the four nuts and washers. Start with the top bolts to hold the motor.

    • Tighten all four bolts securely, being careful not to overtighten. Use the open end wrench for the lower-left bolt as before if you have a commercial model.

  2. Reconnect Wires: Feed the motor's cables back through the frame's crossbar and reconnect them to the power board at P4 and P9.

  3. Secure Wires: Use the new zip ties to secure the wires as they were originally, ensuring they are neat and out of the way of moving parts!

  4. Reinstall Shrouds
