Written Instructions
-
Gain Access: Remove the left shroud from the Dr. Dish machine to expose the internal electronics, including the circuit board and wiring compartment.
-
Locate the Fuse: The fuse you need to replace is in an in-line fuse holder on the P13 cable. The wiring bundle will likely be secured by zip ties.
-
Cut Zip Ties: Use your wire cutters to carefully cut the zip ties securing the wiring bundle near the fuse holder. Be extremely careful not to cut any of the wires. This allows you to access the fuse holder.
-
Open the Fuse Holder: Locate the black plastic fuse holder. Pinch the tabs on the holder and wiggle it open to separate the two halves, exposing the fuse inside.
-
Remove the Old Fuse: Pinch the bottom of the fuse holder housing and then pinch the 10-amp fuse (it's a small red blade-style fuse) with your fingers. Wiggle it gently to pull it out of the holder. It may be stiff.
-
Insert the New Fuse: Holding the new 10-amp fuse, he direction it faces does not matter, align the blades of the fuse with the slots in the fuse holder and push it all the way in until it's fully seated inside the socket.
-
Close the Fuse Holder: Push the two halves of the fuse holder back together until they are fully closed. It should seal shut around the wire.
-
Test the Motor: Before securing the wiring, plug the machine in and test the launch motor to ensure the new fuse has resolved the issue and the motor is working correctly.
- To test the Launch Motor function from the home screen of the application and select More > Support > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics > Machine Commands. Ensure no balls are in the machine and select Launch on this page. You may need to select it twice. The machine should perform a launch.
-
Secure the Wiring: Once you've verified the motor is working, use new zip ties to secure the wiring bundle and the fuse holder so the wires are out of the way of any moving parts. Do not over-tighten the zip ties.
-
Reassemble: Replace the left shroud of the machine.
