-
Gain Access: Remove the left shroud from the Dr. Dish machine to expose the internal electronics, including the circuit board and wiring compartment.
-
Locate the Fuse: The fuse you need to replace is located in a black plastic housing zip tied to the rotation motor.
-
Cut Zip Ties: Use your wire cutters to carefully cut the zip ties securing the wiring and fuse housing to the rotation motor. Be extremely careful not to cut any of the wires. This allows you to access the fuse holder.
-
Open the Fuse Housing: Pinch the base and the top of the compartment to slightly lift and open the hinged casing.
-
Remove the Old Fuse: Pinch the bottom of the fuse holder housing and then pinch the 5-amp fuse (it's a small orange blade-style fuse) with your fingers. Wiggle it gently to pull it out of the holder. It may be stiff.
-
Insert the New Fuse: Take the new 5-amp fuse. The orientation (which way it faces) does not matter. Center the new fuse in the housing and push it in with your thumb until it is sitting securely.
- Resecure Fuse Housing: Close the housing so the fuse is no longer visible. The housing and wire should now be zip tied snuggly against the rotation motor as it was previously.
- IMPORTANT: It is crucial not to skip this step as it ensures there are no loose wires to get caught in moving parts.
-
Test the Motor: Before reinstalling the shroud, plug the machine in and test the rotation motor to ensure the new fuse has resolved the issue and the motor is working correctly.
