Written Instructions
-
Turn Off Power: Ensure the machine is unplugged and powered off.
- Remove Shrouds
-
Cut Zip Tie: Use wire cutters to carefully snip the zip tie securing the motor wires near the main board.
-
Disconnect Wire: Locate and disconnect the motor's P12 connector from the power board by pinching and pulling it off the terminal.
-
Locate Bolts: Identify the four hex-head bolts (two front, two rear) securing the rotation motor.
-
Remove Bolts: Use the 5 mm Allen wrench or hex socket to fully remove all four bolts and their washers, keeping track of the hardware (bolt, lock washer, flat washer).
-
Remove Motor: Carefully slide the old rotation motor assembly out of its mounting position.
-
Position the Motor: Gently slide the new motor into its mounting bracket, aligning the four mounting holes.
-
Start Front Bolts: Insert and lightly thread the two front bolts into their holes, but do not tighten them yet.
-
Push the Motor In: Use one hand to firmly push the motor inward so its drive gear meshes securely and flush against the machine's main gear.
-
Tighten First Bolt: While holding the motor firmly pushed in, securely tighten one of the front bolts to lock the motor into the correct gear-mesh position.
-
Secure Remaining Bolts: Tighten the remaining front bolt, and then fully tighten the two rear bolts. Ensure all four bolts are tight, but do not overtighten.
-
Reconnect Wire: Route the new motor's cable back through the frame and securely reconnect the P12 connector to the power board.
-
Secure Wires: Use new zip ties to neatly secure the motor's wires, keeping them contained and away from any moving parts.
-
Plug In and Test: Plug the machine back in to the power source and test the rotation function.
- To test the function on the home screen of the application navigate to More > Support > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics > Machine Commands. On this page under the Rotation System please select 'Rotate Clockwise', then 'Rotate Counterclockwise'.
- Re-install Shrouds
