Written Instructions

  1. Pre-Installation Test: Before removing the old hardware, verify the new power supply is functional:

    1. Power off the machine and unplug it from the wall.

    2. Remove Both Shrouds
    3. Disconnect the AC power cord from the old power supply and plug it into the new one.

    4. Disconnect the current tablet power cord (the flat cable) from the bottom of the tablet and plug in the new power supply's cord.

    5. Plug the machine into the wall and turn it on. If the tablet splash screen appears, the new unit is working.

    6. Turn off and unplug the machine again before proceeding

  2. Prepare the Old Cables: To use the old cable as a "pull string" for the new one.
    1. Cut the old power supply cord near the base of the old power supply unit.

    2. Remove any zip ties holding the cables to the machine frame.

    3. Carefully pull the old cable out of the support frame tubing so you have a loose end to work with.

  3. Mount the New Power Supply
    1. Apply the Velcro strip to the back of the new power supply.

    2. Press the unit firmly onto the machine frame in the same location as the old one.

    3. Feed the new power cord into the frame's entry point.

  4. Pull the New Cable Through
    1. Align the end of the new power cord with the end of the old power cord (the one you cut), and wrap them tightly with electrical tape.

    2. From the tablet side of the frame, slowly pull the old cable. This will guide the new cable up through the internal tubing and out of the exit hole near the tablet.

    3. Once through, remove the tape and discard the old cable.

  5. Final Connections & Cable Management
    1. Plug the new power cord into the middle port on the underside of the tablet.

    2. Plug the AC power cord into the new power supply unit.

    3. Use zip ties to secure the cables to the frame, ensuring they are snug but not pinching the wires.

    4. Power the machine on one last time to confirm everything is working correctly.

    5. Reinstall Both Shrouds
